Overview : Charlie
Finnegan and Ben Hudson share a common interest-a love for building. They began work in the construction industry at
an early age starting as laborers and continuing to progress until today, they head up Finlo Construction Co., Inc., a highly
respected general construction company. Finlo employs 55 skilled and professionally
accredited workers who specialize in commercial, medical, educational and industrial construction. In Hattiesburg and South Mississippi, the business community and the general public
watch Finlo. The company holds memberships and/or are contributors to many organizations; these include the Area Development
Partnership, ADP Partnership for Tomorrow, USM Foundation, USM Eagle Club, MS Association of Builders and Contractors, United
Way of Southeast MS, American Heart Association, USM Symphony Orchestra, Salvation Army, American Red Cross, Pine Belt
Area Boy Scout Council, American Legion Auxiliary, Citizens for the Bond Issue, and local churches. Finlo’s
work is everywhere: Forrest General Hospital, Wesley Medical Center, Hattiesburg Clinic, Trustmark Bank, First Presbyterian
Church, Camp Shelby’s Armed Forces Museum, First Baptist Church, William Carey University and several buildings at The
University of Southern Mississippi including the Trent Lott National Center for Excellence in Economic Development & Entrepreneurship,
the Polymer Science Building, Liberal Arts Building, the International Center, Osceola McCarty Residence Hall, and Coliseum. Finnegan
and Hudson believe that Hattiesburg is a great place to be right now. They keep in close contact with the Forrest County Development
Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce to keep abreast of new business interests. They are big supporters of the Medical
Profession and the University campuses, which, they believe, makes a monumental contribution to the city.
